Co-op: Philips Respironics

The University of Pittsburgh has an extensive cooperative education program through which I found a co-op position at Philips Respironics. I completed three rotations at the Monroeville office, and returned for an additional summer internship.

My projects focused on design and testing of user interface products related to CPAP therapy.  I gained skills involving:

  • additive manufacturing

  • laser cutting

  • compression/injection molding

  • sewing

  • other forms of rapid prototyping

  • CAD modeling and data analysis

  • clinically trialing products
